We here at NYLON Manila are no strangers to print. In 2021, we launched our fanzine, our homage to a mini-magazine and poster that has been fronted by some of the biggest Gen Z faves. But this year, we’re taking things to the next level with our entry into the print market. This isn’t the been-there-done-that magazines you typically see on store shelves. Instead, we’re launching the NYLON Manila MyZine Binder and Print Packs. Want to know all about it? We got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know about the NYLON Manila MyZine.
WHAT IS THE MYZINE?
First things first, the NYLON Manila MyZine is not just a regular magazine. It is an interactive magazine that combines Gen Z storytelling with customization that emphasizes curating what you want. The star of the show is the MyZine Binder, a hard-bound three-ring binder specially designed with the NYLON Manila logo on the spine. The binder will be the heart of the MyZine as it will house all the content that comes with it. Think of the MyZine Binder as like your school notebook or photocard binder. It will serve as the shell to house all the content we will be releasing for the MyZine in the form of the Print Packs.
WHAT ARE THE PRINT PACKS?
The Print Packs are the main form of content that we will be releasing for the MyZine. Every month, we will be dropping a print pack based on a set theme that will be 12 pages long. It is these print packs that you’ll insert in your MyZine Binder as you form the story you want being told inside your MyZine Binder.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WITH MY MYZINE?
The MyZine Binder is just that, a binder that is yours to decorate and fill up as you see fit. As for the print packs, each pack will contain a whole host of content from articles, listicles, features, essays, interviews, print-exclusive photos of Gen Z personalities, interactive worksheets that you can write, draw, cut out, and do so much more on, and other special inclusions. Think budget trackers, notes pages, mood trackers, checklists, and other worksheets to help you in your daily life. Currently, both the MyZine Binder and Print Packs are sold as a complete set.
WHAT CAN I USE THE MYZINE FOR?
A lot of things. The NYLON Manila MyZine was made with functionality and a bevy of practical uses in mind. You can use it as an interactive magazine and read all your favorite stories. You can put binder sleeve pages for your photocards. You can use the notes and calendar pages we’ll be including in the Print Packs to make the MyZine Binder your very own planner. You can treat it as your school notebook or journal. You can do the worksheets included in the Print Packs such as the Barkada Bingo Card with your friends and exchange outputs. You can even have your fave artists sign it. The possibilities are endless with the how you want to use your MyZine for.
CAN I DECORATE THE BINDER?
You bet! The best part about the MyZine is that it puts customization front and center as you take full control of your experience. For starters, you can decorate the MyZine Binder in any way you want to make it uniquely you. The MyZine binder itself comes in five colorways: black, blue, yellow, red, and white.
